There are 2 types of gaming consoles: Handheld (Portable) and Standalone (Home) systems.

Handheld consoles are usually light and compact with features so they can be used anywhere and easy to carry around.

Standalone systems are powerfull gaming machines which have to ability to play games, high-definition movies and provide family with all in one entertainment solution.

Both types of consoles have their cons and pros but the main advantage of handheld console is versatility. However the biggest benefit of having a standalone system is taking advantage of spectacular graphics and latest games.
